good value but not a great location - Mrs Fisher. Date of travel: Apr 2007
We stayed at the Townhouse Hotel in March and thought it was a good choice, and great value for money. The hotel was being refurbished while we were there, but we were not inconvenienced much. We had one of the refurbished rooms and were very happy with it, it was comfortable with a nice bathroom and even a flat-screen. Our only gripe was that the room had twin beds rather than a double. The staff at the Townhouse hotel were great and very helpful and the restaurant was good for breakfast – we ate out at night. The hotel is very centrally located and it was quick to get to the sights of Cape Town, but the city centre is quiet at night and doesn’t feel 100% safe. Next time we might stay in the Watefront or somewhere else out.
