I know it is hard to find a reliable place through a website. So here is my review: 3 of us (adults) shared a large room at Shantigriha on our way to Rishikesh for 2 nights. The B & B was not far from the airport, it was in a secluded private residential area near a wildlife reserve (unusual birds visit the yard). I'd say it was a 3-star. For Delhi, the yard was green and lush with flowers and it really made it welcoming from the hustle and bustle of the city. We had breakfast in the yard! Food was delicious and they were gracious enough to cook vegetarian for us. Best of all was Sahil's desire and enthusiasm to make it an enjoyable stay. Sahil is the owner, speaks perfect english. He was like a Concierge, he made sure we found transportation, he had touring brochures and suggestions, if you wanted to visit several sites in a day he would tell you how to save time and traffic. He called and negotiated for a driver. By the way it is not walking distance to anything. You want something? Talented young Sahil will figure it out. You must know that there are two dogs in the property and they are also inside the house, but not in your room! If you are non-smoker, let Sahil know, because he and his friendly father smoke. It was a very safe place and clean. I loved Sahil, I would return just for that reason. You do need public transportation to get anywhere. Sahil will call a reliable person/driver or line up a economic rickshaw. By the way, it seems like all drivers have cell phones. So if they had a hard time finding Shantigriha, they would call Sahil and get directions. Extra: I wanted to buy silk and have casual pillow covers and curtains made. Sahil immediately thought of a friend of the family, took me there and on my way back from Rishikesh to Delhi I picked up the goods on my way to the airport! I was so happy!
